Apple Barrel Summer Fun Bulletin Board

Styrofoam diorama kit
One 2" styrofoam ball (value pack)
One 1-1/2 styrofoam ball (value pack)
Brushes
Craft knife
Green ribbon
White ribbon
Hot glue
Scissors



1. Glue the two 1/2" thick large pieces of styrofoam together at the long edges using the hot glue. Allow to dry and basecoat with Pool Blue. Allow to dry and then dry brush with White. Allow to dry.

2. Cut the balls in half and paint the two halves of the 1-1/2" ball and just one half of the 2" ball, White. Allow to dry. Paint the eyes, mouth and eyebrows Black and the cheeks with Bright Red. Add a highlight in the eyes with White. Set aside.

3. Cut a 1-1/2" piece for the 1" sheet of styrofoam the length of the bottom of the bulletin board. Paint Spring Green and allow to dry. Hot glue it on top of the bottom of the bulletin board. Paint White stripes along the front as shown in photo.

4. Using pattern provided, cut out the sun and paint Pumpkin Orange and the circle Bright Yellow. Add a White dot to orange sun and orange dots to the yellow center. Hot glue the center onto the sun. Set aside.

5. Using patterns provided, paint the flowers Fuchsia, Bright Red, and Royal Violet. Allow to dry and then add White swirls as shown in photo. Hot glue the faces onto flowers.

6. Make hole using the end of a small brush. Under flowers and at the bottom of board for stems. Cut ribbon to fit and insert thru the holes. Hot glue in place and then add bows at the top of each stem.

7. Make holes around board as shown in photo and the weave in and out all around the board. Hot glue the ends.

8. Hot glue sun in place.
