Be sure to gather all your needed supplies like brushes, stencils, paint, tape, paper towels and paper plates to use as a paint palette. Plan your project by measuring your space and planning stencil placement. Tape your stencil down and plan repeats. You may want to practice with your stencil on scrap paper or in a hard-to-see corner or even behind a door. Once you've gotten to your second or third repetition of the stencil you'll be comfortable with the techniques and colors. After you are finished, be sure to clean your brushes and stencils with soap and water or brush cleaner.
